Oberhof is known far beyond the borders of Thuringia for its top-class sports facilities. This hike leads with an experienced hiking guide directly through the forest to the LOTTO Thüringen ski jumping facility in Kanzlersgrund.
The first large ski jump was built here back in 1961. As early as 1979, the ski jumps were covered with plastic mattings for summer use – an invention from Thuringia, by the way.
