Oberhof, amateur athletes can get a taste of real Olympic air. This is the only cross-country skiing and biathlon hall in Germany. You can also cross-country ski here in summer to train in your favourite sport without having to wait for the cold season.
Almost 2 kilometres of cross-country skiing challenge with adjoining indoor shooting range
If you’ve always wanted to cross-country ski like the real sports pros, the Oberhof ski sports centre is the place for you. Two loops are connected by a track with a double cross-country trail and a central area, which also includes the high-speed circuit. Here you can do your laps as an amateur athlete as well as a professional athlete.
Test how well you can master the routes that top athletes normally tackle. If cross-country skiing alone is not enough for you and you would like to try your hand at biathlon, you can test how well you can hit the target with a small-calibre rifle in the adjoining shooting hall. Do your strenuous laps on the cross-country ski trails beforehand and then try to keep a steady hand and a steady eye in the shooting hall. You’ll realise that it’s not that easy. That’s how our biathletes feel when they take part in competitions. Here you have the opportunity to experience the challenge for yourself.
